AMBER can search the web to provide answers based on current information rather than relying solely on the AI model’s training data. Toggle the Web Search option in the chat input area before sending your message. When enabled, the AI model will search the web for relevant information before responding.

How It Works

Web search works differently depending on the model provider:
ProviderSearch Method
OpenAINative built-in web search
GoogleNative built-in web search
AnthropicWeb search via Perplexity
MistralWeb search via Perplexity
Regardless of the method, the experience is seamless — you simply toggle web search on and ask your question. Web search is particularly useful for:
  • Current events — News, recent developments, and real-time information
  • Recent data — Statistics, prices, or data that changes frequently
  • Fact-checking — Verifying claims against up-to-date sources
  • Research — Finding specific information that may not be in the model’s training data
Web search may slightly increase response time as the model needs to search and process web results before responding.
